Spicy Chickpea

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained & rinsed
  • 1 small garlic clove, crushed
  • 1:2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • salt & pepper
  • ingredients for mashed avocado ?
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • pinch of salt
  • optional-chilli flakes
  • sliced bread of choice

Preparation

  1. Heat 1 tsp of oil in frying pan over medium heat then add garlic, chickpeas & cook for 2 minutes then add spices , lemon juice & season with salt & pepper & cook for 2-3 minutes

  2. Mash the avocado in small dish @ add lemon juice & pinch of salt , you have the option to add chilli flakes

  3. Spread the avocado mixture over toasted bread then top with the chickpeas & enjoy
