O N I O N Dip from Scratch

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced onion
  • 4 tbsp oil (option: half oil half butter)
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper - 1/4 cup chopped chives
  • 1 small container greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • salt & pepper

Preparation

  1. In a large pan over medium low heat sauté onions in oil until they turn brown for about 20 minutes (stirring often)

  2. Mix yogurt, vinegar, cayenne pepper and chives together - remove onions from pan and let cool for a few minutes on a cutting board; chop finely

  3. Add onions to yogurt mix, sprinkle with salt and pepper

  4. Serve with chips, veggies, pita, etc!
