O N I O N Dip from Scratch
Ingredients
- 4 cups sliced onion
- 4 tbsp oil (option: half oil half butter)
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper - 1/4 cup chopped chives
- 1 small container greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- salt & pepper
Preparation
In a large pan over medium low heat sauté onions in oil until they turn brown for about 20 minutes (stirring often)
Mix yogurt, vinegar, cayenne pepper and chives together - remove onions from pan and let cool for a few minutes on a cutting board; chop finely
Add onions to yogurt mix, sprinkle with salt and pepper
Serve with chips, veggies, pita, etc!
