Vegan Banana Nice Cream

Ingredients

  • 3 frozen bananas

Optional add-ins

  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • Splash of orange or pineapple juice
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

Preparation

  1. Get ripe bananas as they provide more sweetness

  2. Chop bananas into chunks and lay them in a single layer on a parchment-lined plate or tray, ensuring they are peeled before freezing

  3. Freeze the banana chunks for 2 hours and optionally freeze other fruits of choice for added flavor

  4. Let the frozen bananas thaw for about 5 minutes

  5. Blend the bananas in a high-powered blender or food processor, adding a splash of milk if needed to start the blending process

  6. For extra sweetness and flavor, add sweeteners and extra flavors as listed, then scrape the sides and blend until a smooth, soft-serve consistency is achieved

  7. Eat the nice cream straight from the blender for soft-serve texture or spoon it into a dish and freeze for about 30 minutes for a firmer texture, then serve with toppings
