Easy Buffalo Chickpea Dip

Ingredients

  • 400 g canned chickpeas (about 1 1/2 cans)
  • 1/3 cup vegan butter (@flora)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (@franksredhot)
  • 3/4 cup vegan cream cheese (@buteislandfoods)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Rinse the chickpeas.

  2. Smash them with a fork or potato masher to a chunky consistency.

  3. Melt butter in microwave and combine with hot sauce.

  4. Add all ingredients to the chickpeas and mix.

  5. Taste test to make sure you don’t need more hot sauce or salt and pepper.

  6. Serve.

Baking option

  1. Optionally, top with vegan shredded cheese and bake in the oven at 400°F or 200°C for about 15 minutes, but it’s not necessary.

  2. Serve hot or cold, as it’s delicious both ways.
