Figs in a Blanket
Ingredients
- 6 large figs
- 6 slices prosciutto
- 1/4 cup goat cheese
For serving
- honey
- balsamic glaze
- black pepper
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375˚F.
Slice each fig in half and use a small spoon or melon baller to scoop out some of the inside.
Fill each cavity with approximately 1 teaspoon of goat cheese, adjusting based on the size of the figs.
Wrap each fig tightly in prosciutto to prevent the cheese from oozing out during baking.
Place the figs flat side down on a nonstick baking sheet.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the prosciutto is crispy on the bottom and the figs are soft.
Let the figs cool for a few minutes, then transfer them to a plate.
Drizzle with honey, balsamic glaze, and black pepper, then serve warm.
Tips
Do not discard the scooped-out fig parts; use them in yogurt or another recipe.
