A Warming Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 banana, frozen
  • 2 small carrots, peeled & chopped
  • 1/4 cup sliced zucchini
  • 3/4-1 cup dairy free milk
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp peeled, minced ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional, if not using add extra banana for sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp SpiraVeg fresh spirulina

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender (except spiraveg fresh spirulina) and blend until creamy and smooth

  2. Taste and adjust flavour as needed, adding more spices for warmth, ginger for spice or banana for sweetness

  3. Once the flavour is just right, add fresh spirulina and gently stir to combine
