Battered Breaded Baked Tofu

Ingredients

  • Firm tofu

Batter

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3/4-1 cup water or milk

Breading

  • 1 cup bread crumbs or panko
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. Cube the firm tofu and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  3. Bake for 20 minutes and allow to cool completely.

  4. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  5. Whisk together the batter ingredients

  6. Whisk together the breading ingredients.

  7. Dredge the tofu cubes in the batter then toss in the breading.

  8. Space the coated tofu apart on the baking sheet.

  9. Bake for 15 minutes.

  10. Flip the tofu cubes.

  11. Bake for another 15 minutes.
