Healthy Crispy Homemade Dried Strawberry Chips

Ingredients

  • 500 g strawberries

Preparation

  1. Remove the stems from the strawberries, wash the fruit, and dry with kitchen paper

  2. Place the strawberries cut-side down on a cutting board and slice into approximately 2 mm thick slices

  3. Place the strawberry slices individually on the dehydrator rack and dry at 50 degrees Celsius for about 5 hours

  4. Flip the strawberries after half the drying time

Tips

  1. Drying time may vary depending on the thickness of the strawberries

  2. Store the strawberry chips in a cool, dark place (not in the refrigerator) for at least 8 weeks

  3. If you don't have a dehydrator, set your oven to 50 degrees Celsius convection. Note that every oven heats differently and the strawberry chips must not be dried too hot, otherwise they will change color
