Healthy Crispy Homemade Dried Strawberry Chips
Ingredients
- 500 g strawberries
Preparation
Remove the stems from the strawberries, wash the fruit, and dry with kitchen paper
Place the strawberries cut-side down on a cutting board and slice into approximately 2 mm thick slices
Place the strawberry slices individually on the dehydrator rack and dry at 50 degrees Celsius for about 5 hours
Flip the strawberries after half the drying time
Tips
Drying time may vary depending on the thickness of the strawberries
Store the strawberry chips in a cool, dark place (not in the refrigerator) for at least 8 weeks
If you don't have a dehydrator, set your oven to 50 degrees Celsius convection. Note that every oven heats differently and the strawberry chips must not be dried too hot, otherwise they will change color
