Pasta with Broccoli, Chilli and Garlic

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized broccoli
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1/2 a mild chilli sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 packet of pasta of choice

Preparation

  1. Cut the broccoli into pieces removing the stem.

  2. In a pot with boiling water add the broccoli and cook for 10 minutes.

  3. Drain and set aside.

  4. In a fry pan add the salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic, and chilli.

  5. Sautee for a few minutes then add cooked broccoli and combine.

  6. Try to crush the broccoli a bit while stirring.

  7. Cook for a further 10 minutes.

  8. Set aside.

  9. Cook the pasta as per instructions.

  10. Drain and add it to the broccoli mixture.

  11. Add more chilli to garnish and a drizzle of olive oil.
