The Best Vegan Burger
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion
- 3 tbsp flaxseeds + 3 tbsp hot water
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2/3 cup soy mince (dry)
- 1/2 cup broth
- 50g oat flour or oats
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
Spices
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Other
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil to cook
Preparation
Sauté onion and garlic in a little bit of olive oil.
Soak ground flaxseeds with 3 tablespoons of hot water and dry soy mince with half a cup of hot broth.
Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse without puréeing.
Form the mixture into 4 to 5 burger patties and set them on a plate.
Heat a skillet and cook the patties with a bit of olive oil for 5 minutes per side. For an oil-free alternative, bake in the oven at 180°C until crispy.
