Make Your Own Lemon Iced Tea
Ingredients
- 1 liter water
- 4 black tea bags (or 4 tsp loose black tea)
- 3 fresh organic lemons
- 100 g sugar (to taste, more or less)
- 30 ice cubes
Preparation
Boil water for the iced tea.
Hang the tea bags in a heat-resistant pitcher and pour the hot water over them.
Let the tea steep for about 3 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
Halve two lemons and squeeze the juice.
Slice the third lemon into thin slices (optionally halve these slices again).
Add the lemon juice and lemon slices to the tea.
Add the sugar to the tea.
Stir the tea until the sugar has dissolved.
Add 20 ice cubes to the pitcher so that the tea cools down quickly.
Add the remaining 10 ice cubes and serve the iced tea immediately.
Tips
For a stronger flavor, use fewer ice cubes. Alternatively, let the iced tea cool down by itself and then add fewer ice cubes. This method results in a more intense flavor and less diluted iced tea.
