Chocolate Beetroot Smoothie with Pomegranate and Banana
Ingredients
- Seeds of 1 pomegranate
- 1 medium size beetroot
- 1 pear
- 1 banana, frozen in pieces
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 2 tsp cacao powder
- 1 cup oat milk
- Dark chocolate
Preparation
Cacao is very nutrient dense and high in antioxidants as well as nutrients like magnesium, potassium, and iron. Beetroots add the fiber, folate and vitamin C to this smoothie. Also, beets contain nitrates and pigments that improve athletic performance, making it the perfect pre-workout smoothie.
Combine all the ingredients in your high-speed blender until smooth.
Pour into glass and finish with finely shaved chocolate.
