Homemade Pretzel Buns with Crispy Crust
Ingredients
- 450g flour
- 15g fresh yeast
- 200ml water
- 1ts salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- 3tb baking soda
- Rough salt or sesame seeds
Preparation
mix yeast with water
Add salt, sugar and flour and mix well (you might need a bit more water depending on flour)
Let it rise for about 30 minutes with a kitchen towel on top
Now kneed the dough again
Let it rise for another 30 minutes
Form the buns
Let them rise another 30 minutes
Place baking paper on baking tray
preheat the oven on 200 degrees circulating air
Place the baking soda in 1 liter of water and get to boil
Now cook each bun for about one minute turning it in between
Then add to the baking tray
Cut a cross in the middle of the bun
Sprinkle salt or sesame seeds on top
Bake for 15-25 minutes
