Spicy Lamb Patties

Ingredients

  • 500g minced lamb
  • 2 inch fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 50g bread crumbs

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands so everything is bound together

  2. Shape into small patties using wet hands to stop it sticking. If you have time, cover and chill in the fridge for an hour or so

  3. Drizzle a little oil into a non stick pan on a medium heat and cook the patties for 5 mins each side or until they are fully cooked through and browned. Do this in batches if you have a smaller pan

  4. Serve in a wrap with some salad, yogurt and a little ketchup like we did, or with rice, couscous, vegetables etc
