Chili Lime Tofu

Ingredients

  • chili lime tofu
  • 1 block extra firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • pinch of garlic powder
  • juice of 1/2 a lime
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400F

  2. Remove block of tofu from packaging

  3. Drain and press excess liquid with either a tofu press or wrap tofu in a few paper towels and place a heavy object over top to remove excess

  4. Once tofu is drained, chop tofu into cubes and set aside

  5. Whisk together remaining ingredients in a Tupperware container

  6. Add tofu, seal container and shake together

  7. Feel free to bake right away or marinade for an hour before baking

  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges of tofu start to crisp up

  9. Serve and enjoy
