Recipe: Garlic Chili Chickpeas
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp garlic chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ginger powder
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
Preparation
Mix cornstarch and water together to make a slurry, then set aside
In a bowl combine chili sauce, soy sauce, maple syrup, the extra tbsp water, garlic and ginger and mix together
Add chickpeas to a preheated pan and heat chickpeas through
Add garlic chili sauce mixture and coat chickpeas well
Add cornstarch slurry and cook to fully coat and thicken, about 2-3 minutes
Remove from heat and enjoy with your favorite sides
