Sugar Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup cake flour (can easily be made with gf flour)
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temp
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg whites room temp
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sour cream room temp
  • 1/2 cup whole milk room temp: Chocolate buttercream: 1 cup unsalted butter room temp
  • 3 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 cup coco powder
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven 350

  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt & set aside

  3. Beat butter & sugar on high

  4. Add egg & vanilla

  5. Beat in high & add in sour cream

  6. Add dry ingredients until just combined

  7. Slowly pour milk in

  8. Prep 6 inch pans, baked three layers

  9. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean

  10. Wait to cool and then frost and add berries & sprinkle on top
