Sticky Vegan Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 120ml cold water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 120ml Japanese soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1.5 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 4 tbsp syrup
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • @peasofheaven meatballs

Preparation

  1. Mix together 120ml cold water and 2 tbsp cornstarch. Set aside.

  2. In a bowl, add 120ml Japanese soya sauce, 1 tbsp lime juice, 1.5 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar, 4 tbsp syrup, 2 tsp sesame oil, 2 tsp ginger powder, and 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper. Mix well.

  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Add the water and cornstarch mix and allow it to thicken.

  4. Fry @peasofheaven meatballs. Pour the thickened sauce over them and fry for a few more minutes.

  5. Serve the sticky vegan meatballs warm as part of your Christmas meal.
