Light and Airy Chocolate Mousse Dessert

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 400 g heavy cream

Preparation

  1. Chop the dark chocolate and melt in a bain-marie. Let cool slightly. Meanwhile, separate the eggs and beat the egg yolks with salt and 1 tablespoon sugar until creamy, about 3-4 minutes

  2. Whip the heavy cream until stiff and chill. Whip the egg whites with 1 tablespoon sugar until very stiff. Add the melted chocolate to the egg yolks and stir well to avoid lumps

  3. Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture, taking care not to let too much air escape. Finally, carefully fold in the cream. Pour everything into one large or several small serving bowls and chill for at least 5 hours or overnight until the mousse sets
