Hemp Caramel Apple Delight
Ingredients
- 5 medjool dates
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 tablespoons liquid sweetener (maple syrup or honey)
- Vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons hemp butter
Preparation
Soak medjool dates with water for 30 minutes to soften.
Blend soaked dates with water, liquid sweetener, vanilla extract, salt, coconut oil, and hemp butter to create a lush sauce.
Refrigerate the sauce for 30 minutes before making the caramel apples.
Scoop out apples using a melon baller and place them in a bowl of chilled ice water with a squeeze of lemon juice to prevent darkening.
Use a skewer to poke an apple and swirl it into the caramel sauce.
Place the coated apple on a bed of nuts or seeds (such as black rice puffs).
Sprinkle a touch of sea salt over the caramel-coated apple.
Refrigerate to allow the caramel to slightly set.
