Healthy Gluten-Free Vegan Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup or 145g apple puree
  • 3/4 cup or 200 ml plant milk
  • 2 tablespoons or 40g nut butter of choice
  • 1/3 cup or 30g ground hazelnuts
  • 1/3 cup or 40g coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup or 50g cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup or 45g oat flour
  • 1/3 cup or 50g rice flour
  • 1/4 cup or 40g corn starch
  • 2.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

Optional

  • 40g chopped dark chocolate

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F using upper and lower heat.

  2. Mix all ingredients together.

  3. Fold in the chopped chocolate if using.

  4. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes.

  5. Let it cool down.

  6. Top it with approximately 40g melted chocolate mixed with 2 tablespoons plant milk.

Notes

  1. You can also use 3/4 cup or 140g regular flour or a gluten-free flour mix instead of the oat flour, rice flour, and corn starch.
