Best Vegan Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
Brownies
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup plant milk
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup flour of your choice
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
- a pinch of salt
Fudge sauce
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder and peanut butter
- 4 tablespoons maple syrup
- 3-4 tablespoons hot water
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200°C or 400°F
In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, plant milk, peanut butter, and vanilla extract for the brownies
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt
Combine the wet and dry mixtures until well blended
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
For the fudge sauce, mix cocoa powder, peanut butter, maple syrup, and hot water until smooth
Allow the cake to cool before spreading the fudge sauce on top
