Healthy Chocolate Chip Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup (200g) flour
  • 1/3 cup (50g) cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp starch
  • 1/3 cup (110g) maple syrup
  • 2 Tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (110g) apple sauce
  • 3/4 cup + 2 Tbsp (200ml) plant milk
  • 2.5 Tbsp nut butter or oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, starch, and baking powder.

  3. In another bowl, combine the maple syrup, apple sauce, plant milk, and nut butter.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.

  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  7. Allow to cool before slicing.
