Salted Caramel Lava Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 3/4 cup flour of your choice
  • 7 Tbsp ground almonds
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup plant milk
  • 1 small mashed banana

Filling

  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • a pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Mix the dry ingredients for the cake: flour, ground almonds, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients for the cake: maple syrup, plant milk, and mashed banana.

  3. Combine the wet and dry mixtures to form the cake batter.

  4. Mix the filling ingredients: peanut butter, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt.

  5. Preheat the oven to 180C or 360F.

  6. Grease muffin tins or ramekins.

  7. Fill each mold halfway with cake batter, add a spoonful of filling in the center, and cover with more batter.

  8. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
