Easy Vegan Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 13.5oz can coconut cream, shaken
  • 10oz dairy-free semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Melt the chocolate chips and set them aside for 10 minutes to cool.

  2. In a large bowl, beat together the coconut cream, cocoa powder, maple syrup, salt, and vanilla extract.

  3. Add the melted and cooled chocolate to the bowl and continue beating until the mixture is well combined and smooth.

  4. Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.

  5. Remove the mousse from the fridge and beat it again briefly until it becomes fluffy.

  6. Transfer the mousse to a piping bag or simply spoon it into jars or bowls.

  7. Add your desired toppings or simply enjoy the mousse as is!
