Ramen Stir Fry with Crispy Sesame Tofu

Ingredients

Crispy sesame tofu

  • 200g tofu
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp flour

Vegetables

  • 2 stalks celery
  • Small carrot
  • 60g purple cabbage
  • 400g Ramen

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 tsp thick soy sauce (optional)
  • 50ml water

Preparation

  1. Mix the cornstarch, salt, sesame seeds, water, and flour to create a coating mixture.

  2. Coat the tofu with the mixture and fry until crispy.

  3. Cook the ramen according to package directions.

  4. Chop the celery, carrot, and purple cabbage.

  5. Stir-fry the chopped vegetables until slightly softened.

  6. Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl and add to the vegetables, heating through.

  7. Mix the crispy tofu, cooked ramen, and sauced vegetables together and serve.

Notes

  1. This dish takes about 20 minutes to prepare and cook.
