Savory Leek Flan with White Sauce

Ingredients

  • 150g sautéed leeks
  • 100g whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper
  • Half tablespoon flour
  • 70g cheese

White sauce

  • 25g butter
  • 25g flour
  • 250g whole milk
  • 50ml cream
  • Cheese to taste

Preparation

  1. Mix the sautéed leeks, whole milk, egg, cheese, salt, pepper, and flour in a bowl.

  2. Pour the mixture into a greased oven-safe dish.

  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes or until set and golden.

  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  5. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.

  6. Gradually add whole milk and cream, whisking constantly until thickened.

  7. Add cheese to the sauce and stir until melted.

  8. Serve the leek flan with the white sauce.
