Festive French Onion Soup
Ingredients
- 200g onion
- 50g plant-based butter
- 1.5 tbsp flour
- 1l veggie broth
- 0.5l white wine
- Salt and pepper
- 6 slices bread
- Optional: plant-based cheese
Preparation
Slice the onion into rings.
Melt the plant-based butter and glaze the onion on low heat for about fifteen minutes.
Add flour to the onions.
Deglaze with veggie broth and white wine.
Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer the mixture for fifteen minutes.
Roast the bread slices in a pan without oil.
Optional: Add plant-based cheese on each bread slice.
Bake the bread slices with cheese in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 8 minutes.
Serve the soup with the baked bread.
