Roasted Salty Candied Cinnamon Almonds

Ingredients

  • 200g almonds
  • 150g cane sugar
  • 50ml water
  • Pinch of grainy salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Heat an iron or ceramic pan over medium heat.

  2. Add water, sugar, and salt to the pan and mix well. Bring it to a boil.

  3. Add the almonds to the pan and stir continuously.

  4. Once the sugar starts to caramelize, turn the almonds to coat them evenly.

  5. If the sugar sticks to the pan, remove the almonds immediately and transfer them to a baking sheet lined with baking paper to dry.

  6. Sprinkle the almonds with cinnamon while they are drying on the baking sheet.

  7. After about 5 minutes, when the sugar hardens, transfer the almonds to a bowl.

  8. Enjoy your Christmas treat!

  9. You can experiment with different flavors by replacing the cinnamon with a little vanilla extract, streusel, or coconut flakes.
