Easy Flavorful Vegan Goulash
Ingredients
- A chunk of celeriac
- 2 carrots
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- Oil
- 150g soy chunks
- 300ml water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons chicken spice
- 4 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 200ml red wine
- 500ml water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Preparation
Saute the celeriac, carrots, onion, and garlic in oil
Cook the soy chunks with 300ml water, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 2 teaspoons chicken spice until all the water is gone
Add the cooked soy chunks to the sauteed vegetables
Stir in 4 tablespoons tomato paste and 1 tablespoon flour
Deglaze the pan with 200ml red wine
Add 500ml water, salt and pepper to taste, 2 bay leaves, and 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes
