Beer Battered Spicy Cauliflower
Ingredients
- Cauliflower florets, cut into bite-size pieces
- Water for boiling
- Oil for deep frying
Marinade
- Vegenaise, 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala, 1/2 tablespoon
- Cumin powder, 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder, 2 teaspoons
- Amchur powder, 1 teaspoon
Batter
- Flour, 2 tablespoons
- Corn flour, 3 tablespoons
- Salt, 1 teaspoon
- Pepper, 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric, 1/2 tablespoon
- Chili powder, 2 teaspoons
- Beer or cider, 1 cup
Preparation
Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the cauliflower, cook for 4-5 minutes, and drain.
Allow the cauliflower to cool completely, coat it in the marinade ingredients, and place it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
Make a thin batter by mixing all the batter ingredients.
Dip the cauliflower in the batter and fry it in olive oil.
