Beer Battered Spicy Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower florets, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Water for boiling
  • Oil for deep frying

Marinade

  • Vegenaise, 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala, 1/2 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder, 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder, 2 teaspoons
  • Amchur powder, 1 teaspoon

Batter

  • Flour, 2 tablespoons
  • Corn flour, 3 tablespoons
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper, 2 teaspoons
  • Turmeric, 1/2 tablespoon
  • Chili powder, 2 teaspoons
  • Beer or cider, 1 cup

Preparation

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the cauliflower, cook for 4-5 minutes, and drain.

  2. Allow the cauliflower to cool completely, coat it in the marinade ingredients, and place it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.

  3. Make a thin batter by mixing all the batter ingredients.

  4. Dip the cauliflower in the batter and fry it in olive oil.
