Green Chutney Kebab Rolls

Ingredients

  • 500g puff pastry
  • Green chutney (see previous post)

Kebab mix

  • 500g turkey mince or vegan alternative
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1-2 tsp minced ginger
  • 4 tsp garam masala
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice

Other

  • 1 egg for brushing or milk with a little turmeric for color
  • Nigella seeds
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Mix all the kebab mix ingredients together well

  2. Make 16 small sausage shapes from the mix

  3. Roll out the pastry, and cut into 16 equal sized squares

  4. Spread about 1 tablespoon of green chutney onto the pastry

  5. Roll the pastry and seal with a little egg wash

  6. Cut 3 slices across the top of each roll with a knife, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with nigella seeds

  7. Place the rolls on a baking tray and bake at 200°C for 30-35 minutes until cooked through

  8. Serve with a bowl of extra chutney for dipping
