Greek Style Flatbreads with Meat Free Filling

Ingredients

Bread

  • Hot water and milk (about half a mug)
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 7g quick action dried yeast
  • 100g strong bread flour
  • 7g Sea salt
  • 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Filling

  • Actifried wedges
  • Meat free Lamb style pieces
  • Chicken style pieces
  • Rosemary
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion salt
  • Red onion
  • Mixed salad
  • Chilli and garlic sauce

Preparation

Bread

  1. Mix hot water and milk, honey, and yeast. Leave to foam up a little.

  2. Add bread flour, sea salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture.

  3. Add some of the liquid until a soft pliable dough is formed.

  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes, cover, and set aside to prove.

  5. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 cm thick.

  6. Bake in a 220c oven for 7 minutes.

Filling

  1. Pan fry meat free Lamb style pieces and Chicken style pieces with rosemary, garlic powder, and a little onion salt.

  2. Prepare red onion and mixed salad.

  3. Assemble the flatbreads with the fried pieces, red onion, mixed salad, and chilli and garlic sauce.
