Extra Creamy Classic Hummus
Ingredients
- 2 cans organic chickpeas (drain one can and reserve aquafaba from the second can)
- 1 cup tahini
- Juice of one large lemon
- Aquafaba to adjust consistency
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1-2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Garnishes
- chopped purple onions
- roasted chickpeas
- cherry tomatoes
- parsley
- lemon wedges
- crushed red pepper
Preparation
Drain one can of chickpeas and reserve the aquafaba from the second can.
Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth and creamy.
Plate the hummus in a shallow bowl.
Decorate with chopped purple onions, roasted chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, parsley, lemon wedges, and crushed red pepper.
Serve with warm pita bread.
