Cinnamon Roll Loaf Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 + 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup sour cream

Marble

  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Frosting

  • 4oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and spray a 9x5 loaf pan with baking spray. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until just combined.

  2. Add the melted unsalted butter, oil, and sour cream to the egg mixture and whisk again until just combined.

  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and fold until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the marble ingredients.

  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the marble mixture on top, then pour the rest of the batter into the pan. Sprinkle more marble mix on top and use a knife to swirl it into the batter.

  6. Bake the cake loaf for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it rest for at least 1 hour in the pan.

  7. Make the frosting by mixing together all ingredients until smooth and creamy. Spread it on top of the cake loaf.
