Vegan Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup wholemeal flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup apple sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. In a bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.

  3. Add the apple sauce and coconut oil.

  4. Combine using your hands to achieve a dough-like consistency.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Use your hands to form 6 cookies and place them on the prepared tray.

  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until they’re baked; they will harden as they cool.
