Cacao and Date Brownie
Ingredients
- 1 cup dates
- 1/2 cup cacao powder
- 3 tbsp maple or golden syrup
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup plain flour
Preparation
Add the dates to a bowl and pour boiling water over them until they are fully submerged in the water. Leave for 10 minutes
Meanwhile add all the remaining to a mixing bowl
Drain the dates and blend until smooth
Add the dates to the other bowl and mix together. You may need to add some more milk to help loosen the mixture if it is stiff
Line a tin and pour the mixture in. Swirl peanut butter through the mixture if you want a nutty twist
Cook at 180 degrees for 15 minutes
