Ingredients
- 1 cauliflower head, cut into florets
- Bread crumbs or panko
Batter
- 100g all purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1/4 tsp chilli
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 240ml unsweetened milk or water
Sauce
- 3 garlic cloves
- 50ml oil or melted margarine
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 100ml ketchup
- 2 tsp sriracha
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp syrup
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Mix the batter ingredients until a thick batter forms.
For the sauce, fry 3 garlic cloves in 50ml oil or melted margarine until golden brown.
Add the remaining sauce ingredients to the pan and simmer until the sauce thickens.
Coat the cauliflower florets in the batter, shaking off any excess, then dip them into the bread crumbs or panko.
Repeat the coating process for all florets and bake in the oven at 200°C for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, cover the wings with the sauce, and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
Tips
Eat warm, preferably with a dipping sauce or served in tortilla bread with avocado, lettuce, pickled onion, and mango salsa.
