Spaghetti Arrabiata with Spicy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 can San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 pinches chilli flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Spaghetti
  • Fresh basil
  • Shaved cheese

Preparation

  1. Sauté the onions until soft, then add the garlic.

  2. Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.

  3. Add the tomatoes, cayenne, and chilli flakes, then simmer for approximately 30 minutes.

  4. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.

  5. Serve the sauce over the spaghetti, garnished with torn basil and shaved cheese.

Tips

  1. Serve with a big salad and garlic bread for a complete meal.
