Sticky Orange Tofu with Rice and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Cauldron foods tofu
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 2-inch piece of ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 3 tbsp tamari
  • 150ml water
  • Sesame oil

Garnish

  • Sesame seeds
  • Spring onion

Preparation

  1. Drain the tofu well for 10 minutes while preparing the other ingredients.

  2. Finely cut the garlic and ginger.

  3. Slice the spring onion.

  4. Cut the tofu into bite-sized chunks, heat a pan, add sesame oil, and fry until brown and slightly crispy, about 10 minutes. Then add the garlic and ginger and cook for a further 3 minutes, stirring often.

  5. Sprinkle over the cornstarch and cook until no white bits remain. Add the soy sauce, chili sauces, orange juice, and water, stir well. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 5-10 minutes.

  6. Serve with brown rice and steamed broccoli or other greens.
