Crispy Salmon with Avocado Salsa

Ingredients

  • Salmon
  • Chili powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil
  • 1 diced tomato
  • Jalapeño
  • 1/2 small red onion
  • 1 diced avocado
  • Lime

Preparation

  1. Pat the salmon dry and season with chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.

  2. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat, then lower the temperature and add salmon skin side up.

  3. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 4 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, combine the salsa ingredients and squeeze with lime; season as needed.

  5. For baking alternative: Pat salmon dry, rub with oil and spices, and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 minutes.
