Quick and Easy Soft-Boiled Eggs

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen large eggs, room temperature

Preparation

  1. Fill a large bowl with ice water.

  2. Fill a large saucepan about two-thirds full with water, cover it, and bring to a boil over high heat.

  3. When the water is boiling, gently place the eggs into the pot using a slotted spoon.

  4. Boil the eggs for 7 minutes.

  5. Immediately transfer the eggs to the ice bath and wait 1 minute.

  6. Peel the eggs and serve them warm.

Storage and reheating

  1. Store peeled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

  2. To reheat, place a few eggs in a bowl of hot tap water for about 5 minutes.
