Five Minute Pickled Onions
Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely sliced
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 - 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar (white/rice vinegar works too)
- 1/4 tsp dried dill
- 1/4 tsp dried mint
Preparation
Add all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl, leave to sit for 20 - 30 minutes before serving, this helps the onion lose its edge.
Serve with your favourite grilled meats and allow your guests to pile it onto their burgers, wraps, tacos etc.
