Five Minute Pickled Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 - 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar (white/rice vinegar works too)
  • 1/4 tsp dried dill
  • 1/4 tsp dried mint

Preparation

  1. Add all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl, leave to sit for 20 - 30 minutes before serving, this helps the onion lose its edge.

  2. Serve with your favourite grilled meats and allow your guests to pile it onto their burgers, wraps, tacos etc.
