15-Minute Marinara Sauce for Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • salt, pepper
  • pinch of sugar

Preparation

  1. Add garlic to a medium saucepan and cook for 2 minutes or until just softened. (optional: use 1 tbsp olive oil)

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
