Homemade Pesto Chimichurri Sauce with Fresh Herbs

Ingredients

  • 1 packed cup cilantro
  • 1 packed cup parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion
  • 1/4 cup toasted nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup olive oil

Preparation

  1. Add cilantro, parsley, garlic, white wine vinegar, green onion, toasted nuts, and salt to a food processor.

  2. Process the mixture until well combined.

  3. With the motor running, drizzle in the olive oil.

  4. Scrape down the sides of the food processor to ensure even mixing.

  5. Taste the mixture and add more salt if needed.

  6. Store in a mason jar; it will keep for up to a week or longer.
