Quick 8-Ingredient Pomodoro Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2x 400g tins (3 cups) chopped tomatoes
- handful fresh cherry tomatoes, cut in halves
- 1 tbsp mixed Italian herbs
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 3/4 tsp salt
- fresh basil
Preparation
Heat some olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add in onion and garlic and sauté until golden and translucent.
Then add tinned tomatoes and salt and let simmer with a lid on for about 20 minutes, stirring once or twice.
Add in fresh tomatoes, herbs, maple syrup and let simmer for 10 more minutes.
Fold in fresh basil and serve with pasta of choice!
