Sweet and Sour Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 package extra firm tofu, drained
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 2 tsp ketchup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 inch ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp corn starch
Preparation
Set oven to 400F
In a bowl combine all ingredients except tofu and whisk to combine then set aside
Cut tofu into desired shapes and pat dry with a paper towel
Place tofu on a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes to remove moisture
Remove from oven
In a sauté pan add garlic and ginger and sauté until fragrant
Add sauce and then tofu
Stir to coat and cook allowing sauce to thicken
