Cauliflower and Pea Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 cup fresh peas and cauliflower
  • Water
  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Fresh coriander leaves

Preparation

  1. Heat up a pan.

  2. Add some oil.

  3. Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds.

  4. Let it cook for a while and then add 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste. You may add finely chopped ginger and garlic too.

  5. Add some finely chopped onion.

  6. Add salt so onions will get tender quickly.

  7. Wait until onions get golden brown in about 5 minutes.

  8. Add the dry masalas.

  9. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.

  10. Add 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder.

  11. Add 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder.

  12. Add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala.

  13. Mix well.

  14. Add 1 cup fresh peas and cauliflower.

  15. Add 1 tablespoon water so that masalas don't get burnt.

  16. Mix everything.

  17. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 10 minutes.

  18. The cauliflower and pea stir-fry is ready.

  19. Add dried fenugreek leaves and lemon juice.

  20. Add some fresh coriander leaves.

  21. Switch off the flame and serve it on a plate.
