Asparagus and Tofu Toast with Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients

  • some olive oil
  • 10 green asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • a few slices of bread
  • 400 grams silken tofu
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • kala namak salt
  • optional toppings like pickled onion, radish, dill

Preparation

  1. Place a pan on high heat and add some olive oil.

  2. When the oil is warm, add the asparagus and cook for 5 minutes on each side, totaling 10 minutes.

  3. Add the balsamic vinegar, move the pan to coat all asparagus, and cook for another 2 minutes.

  4. In another pan over medium-high heat, add the silken tofu, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon kala namak salt; stir and cook for 4 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, toast the bread.

  6. Assemble by spreading the tofu mixture on the toasted bread, top with asparagus, and add desired toppings.
