Beer Battered Spicy Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower
  • Water
  • Oil for deep frying

Marinade

  • Vegenaise: 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala: 0.5 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Amchur powder: 1 teaspoon

Batter

  • Flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Corn flour: 3 tablespoons
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper: 2 teaspoons
  • Turmeric: 0.5 tablespoon
  • Chili powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Beer or cider: 1 cup

Preparation

  1. This dish takes about 30 minutes to cook and is meant to be eaten quickly.

  2. Bring a pot of water to boil and add cauliflower. Cook for 4-5 minutes and drain.

  3. Allow cauliflower to completely cool and coat in marinade ingredients. Place in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.

  4. Make a thin batter by mixing all the listed ingredients.

  5. Dip cauliflower in batter and fry in olive oil.
